Getting started with VEFtranslate

Five steps to make your site multilingual.

Install and activate the plugin

Like any WordPress plugin.

Add a language

Open VEFtranslate in the admin menu, then “Overview”. The language your site is written in today is the source language.

Click “Copy the whole site”

Every page, post, category and menu is duplicated. New copies are drafts.

Write the texts

Open a translation from the “Content” screen and write its texts in your usual editor. Publish it, then build the menus in “Menus”.

Add the language switcher

A block, an Elementor widget, a menu entry or a floating button (in “Settings”).
